Muscular Dystrophy Car Show Info
Bobbie and Wayne have been show coordinators for the MDA Car Show the last two years. It's held the last Saturday of August in order that all proceeds be turned over during the Jerry Lewis MDA Telethon Labor Day weekend.
We have raised over $26,300 at the events held in 1999 & 2000, thanks to our many sponsors, good friends, and the many car clubs that participated at the events. We are especially grateful to our main sponsor Wayne Balch,Jr., Owner of Balch Automotive and Collision, Inc. and Auto Parts, Inc. of Chester, Va. Without his help, we could not have raised the amount that we did. Under his corporate policy of giving back to the community through his "Care Enough to Share" program, he pays for all expenses, including awards, advertising, t-shirts, DJ, etc., while allowing all the decisions regarding the show planning be made by the volunteers. If you haven't made it to one of the shows, you don't know what you have missed! You think Elvis is dead? Then you'd better think again. "Our" Elvis is alive and well, and can belt out the Elvis tunes!
